  Evelyn grew up in the honor culture of the American South. She takes pains not to offend others and to be generous. But where she comes from, allowing someone to disrespect you is seen as a sign of weakness. Description

With her black hair and hazel eyes, and the downplay of her beauty the young woman could easily be passed over in a crowd. She intended to be easily passed over and forgotten at times. On other occasions she thoroughly confused her neighbors by emerging from her apartment with striking purple locks. Her eye color changed as well when she was in a more 'colorful' mood and her neighbors thought she must be wearing contacts. The style of her hair was a stacked bob, short at the back but lengthening toward her jawline and hanging down past her chin to frame her face. Jagged bangs ended just above her eyes, watching the world with an intellect and calculation that many found unsettling even if they weren't conscious of the feeling. Even if she kept herself well groomed, she was bereft of any sort of make up or fingernail polish, and her pale skin didn't suggest that she went to tanning beds or that she laid out much. Her clothes were often casual, varying more toward t-shirts, shorts, jeans and sneakers than anything more feminine. Other times, she wore clothes that were elegant but understated, with boots. Tattoos may or may not be visible depending on her clothing, and gauges can be spotted in her ears.
